Hi Miriam,

Yes, it is possible, but you have to delete it form Windows Explorer, where your project is located, so that the whole simulation profile folder is deleted. Say for example that you have the PSpice project example.dsn in the folder C:\Temp\. Automatically in such folder you have also the folder examples-PSpiceFiles. If you make double click on such folder (you are now located in C:\Temp\example-PSpiceFiles) you will find so many folders as shematics you have. Lets say you have SCHEMATIC1 as default. Make double click on it and then you will find the .sim files and folders. Just say I defined the simulation profile Transient and I want to delete it. Just deleta the folder with the name Transient and the simulation profile with the name Transient.sim. Then everything related with such simulation profiles is removed.

Hi Roberto,

unfortunately when I deleted the files as you said my whole simulation was unable to open again. I got errors like can not get root schematic. can not load profile ... failed to open....

Regards

Miriam

Hello Miriam,

There are two options. To do delete the simulation profiles:

- You delete firstly the simulation profile from OrCAD Capture and then you delete the "rests" in the Windows Explorer. Then when you re-open the project you do not get any error message.

- You delete firstly the simulation profile from Windows Explorer and when you open OrCAD Capture, you get error messages. You just have to click on "OK" and then delete the simulation profile that is still in OrCAD Capture. Second time you re-open the project again, you will not get such messages.

In any case, I think it is some process that could be opimized.

I hope it helps.

In most cases, it is possible to delete simulation profiles after creating them, but the specific method for doing so can vary depending on the software or system you are using merge fruits.
