DMI User Guide or Programmers Guide

Hi,

I recompiled and tested the DMI sample projects comes with installation succesfully.
I was able to create and compile new model templates using Model Editor.
But without a User Guide or Programmers guide on DMI modeling one can't proceed.
The PSpice DMI API Reference is just the collection of functions with very few hints on how they can be used.
Is there or will be a User Guide or Programmers guide avaiable on DMI modeling?

Thanks

Hello,

I am Roberto Gandia from the Company FlowCAD (Cadence Channel Partner in Germany). I have already written an Application Note, where it is explained, how users can use DMI Template Code Generator, a description of different examples and an step by step guide how to generate Hardware in the Loop using Arduino. I hope this Application Note with the examples can be delivered next week and you can find some interesting information.

In relation to the User Guide or Programmers Guide on DMI, I agree with you that there is not any document right now available where it is exaplained how the different functions can be used. It is being defined and written. As soon as it is availalbe, I will inform you.

In any case, if you have any question do not hesitate to send me an E-Mail to roberto.gandia@flowcad.de

Thank you,

Roberto

Hi,

Is there a document available where the structure of MatrixStencil and its contents like ribr, cibr, rhs are explained?
I suppose these are the nodal stamp some row an column index of branches and the right hand side vector, but this notation differs from the Berkeley source and hard to decipher.

The auto-generated code states that the "Matrix Stencil ... needs to be written by user for generic device", but how?

Thanks,

Unfortunately there is no easy way out for this. One has to understand this piece in order to succesfully use the solution with own model.

I know, but if there is no info publically available you can't use this new feature for other than just a demonstration purpose.
