Simulation Profiles not displaying in Orcard Capture CIS Lite

I have loaded Orcad Lite on a 64 Win 7 machine and a 64 bit Win 10 machine.  Version 17.2-2016 S016 (V17-2-50BH) (3/20/2017) Windows SPB 64 Bit Edition QIR 3 ISR 016

On both machines, in OrCAD Capture CIS - Lite if I select PSPICE - New Simulation Profile.  Give it a name and Inherit from None - it creates the simulation profile and that shows in the simulation profiles in the project manager.  But the Simulations Settings window is blank - totally white space with a boarder.  Editing a Simulation Settings does the same thing.

I have created a project and also used one on the projects supplied.

No spaces in paths for installation or the projects.

Where to from here?

I bought the non light version and installed this in place of the lite version.  It had exactly the same problem.

I got it to work by unistalling all and reinstalling but this time not selecting "Setup for all users"

This seems to have fixed the problem - except that only one user on the computer can use it now.

Hi I have the same problem, as seen here my OrCad Lite 17.2 on a Windows 10 machine appears to have a blank Simulation Setting screen:

What should I click for the setting here for the OrCad Lite installation here?

I believe I did only for me the last time as well.

Thank You

I reinstalled with "Only for Me" and that worked - by that time I had moved to the paid distribution though.

So the score rate is

Lite 3 all user installs - all failed (2 machines Win 7 & Win 10)

Paid one all user - failed

Paid one Only For Me - worked.

I am not bothered to go back and try again with all users to see if it fails.  But I can imagine the problem is that the process trying to display the page has not inherritted the correct permisions to access the file.  I note also there is a control parameter that puts the display method for simulation profiles back to an earlier version - can nto remember the details and did not explore.

Maybe Cadence could offer some guidance - now that my experience is not a single random report.

Thank you for replying, I have too tried both of them and have gotten no where. I will call Cadence and hopefully they can resolve the issue. I will post the solution here if I find it.

Can you please drop an email to PSpiceSupport <PSpiceSupport@cadence.com>, we would like to understand your system configuration to narrow down this issue?

ALOK FIXED IT!!!!!!!!

Open orCefSettings.ini file from < Installation Path>/tools/bin/ in any text editor like notepad. For example - C:\Cadence\SPB_17.2\tools\bin\orCefSettings.ini

Append below line in this file (orCefSettings.ini file)

               lang=en-US

Save this file and exit all OrCAD tools and relaunch. Try opening SimSetup dialog and see if this works.

After this change, orCefSetting.ini file should look as following.
