Spice Model for Ideal & Practical Transformers

Location

Alevor Road

Hello Everyone,

Can you please provide Spice models (link/.lib file) for Ideal & Practical transformers
which I wish to simulate & understand in PSpice/LTSpice?

It would be great help if you mention the electrical parameters/features considered for modeling of transformer.

Thanks,
Janayya

For modelling ideal transformer – You can use linear coupling and associate multiple inductors with that. Refer Learning PSpice- Using the Inductor Coupling Symbols for details and design examples on this.

You can replace K_Liner – ideal coupling with actual magnetic core model to simulate saturation, hysteresis etc.

For modeling transformer you need to know – winding inductance or number of turns, core details, winding resistance , coupling or leakage inductance, winding capacitance – if you wish to simulate this as well.

PSpice modelling applicaiton cna also be tried to create transformers. In SPB 17.2, go to Place > PSpice Component > Modeling Applicaiton > System Modules > Transformer.

I got the impression from reading your post slime rancher 2 that you had overcome many obstacles and learned a lot. I need to develop such a positive outlook, but I'll try.
