PSpice 16.6 supports Matlab 64 bit?

Hi every one, I am using Cadence PSPICE 16.6 and Matlab 2016a 64 bit. I am trying run some SLPS demo in Simulink but it says that "Error in S-function 'RCMDL_SLPS1/SLPS1/S': S-Function 'slpsblk' does not exist".

Could anyone can tell why this message appear and how to fix it? Many thanks.

Hello,

PSpice 16.6 does not support MATLAB 64-bit, only 32-bit. If you want to use such Matlab version, you need to install PSpice 17.2, version which works with 64-bits. The other option is that you use Matlab 32-bit.

I hope it helps. If you still continue experimenting errors, do not hesitate to write again.

Roberto

Thanks Roberto for the information above. But, I've PSpice17.2 and I have same problem with the following error: "Error while obtaining sizes from MEX S-function 'slpsblk':

Caused by:

SLPS ERROR: SLPS module is failed to load (psstub.dll).

Look forward for your help

Does Pspice 16.6 lite support cosimulation in matlab 2014a ?? Or is it necessary for me to get the complete pspice 16.6 version ?

Hello,

PSpice Lite does not support SLPS Co-Simulation. You need complete PSpice 16.6 Version.

Hello,

I am facing the same problem of Dzung. I'm using Matlab R2016a, 64-bit, and SLPS PSpice 16.6. Unfurtunatly I can't simple switch the Matlab to a 32-bit version, since is the only version my university makes available to me. Is there perhaps any workaround to put these two tools (Matlab and SLPS) to work together?

@tatianobusatto: The bad news is you must upgrade to Cadence 17.2 to support Matlab 64 bit or using Matlab 32 bit to compatible with lower Cadence version.

Spend your time relaxing in the sun or phrazle learning to surf at one of Folly's numerous surf schools, since the beach is the island's major draw.

It seems that the error is related to the S-function 'slpsblk' not being found. This could be due to compatibility issues between PSpice 16.6 and Matlab 2016a 64 bit. I recommend checking the compatibility of PSpice 16.6 with Matlab 2016a 64 bit and also verifying if the 'slpsblk' drive mad 2 function is properly installed.
