Newbee question: How do we create symbols? I have a Infineon IMBF170R1K0M1 that is a NMOSFET with 6 pins, (Drain, Gate, Source, SourceSense, TJ, TCase).
Internet searches keeps pointing me to Orcard.
There appears to be no way to search the forums here?
Thanks

I assume that you have downloaded the part model from Infineon. You can make a simple six pin rectangular part that you can simulate with by using the Model Editor. Any other symbol shape that you would want could also be created through OrCAD Capture.
Hi retiredEE
I'm only a few years behind you, lol.
Correct, downloaded from Infineon. Is OrCAD Capture now part of PSpice or a separate package? Eons back, there use to be a simple drawing package in PSpice for drawing FeTs. The Infineon SiC MOSFET includes a Sourcesense, TJ and TCASE. I'm ok with TJ. I'm guessing TCASE is the bottom of the flange temperature. I have no idea what SourceSense is.
Ok on creating a yellow box with pins but where is "Model Editor"?
I'd suggest you read the data sheets on this site related to Capture and PSpice. This might help:

OrCAD Capture, PSpice, Model Editor, etc. are all bundled in one package.
Thanks retiredEE
Your welcome. Here's a link that clears up any question on that SourceSense pin.

I'm having trouble with PSpice for TI to get to the Generate Part command in the Tools pull-down menu. I've done it successfully twice, but sometimes the Generate Part command is ghosted out. What gives? How do you get to that command?
I strongly agree with you. I think your sharing is so excellent. I can apply it and complete my mission.
