PsPice analysis too much slowly

Hi Pspicers!!! I'm simulating a dc-dc converter and PsPice is really slowly running it, i think that is becouse the capacitors. Well i'm using Time domain (transient) simulation. I have though that it would be better for me to skip the transient simulation response and simulate just a part of the steady state response. Could i skip it running from some second after the transient simulation? For example, i run the circuit from second 5 to second 5.1.

Greetings all of u guys and karma!!! All kind of help is welcome!!

Hi Fernando,

Few questions here: What version of the software are you using? If you are using an older version, please update it to the latest version i.e. 17.2-S057 and see if this helps improve the speed.

Next, Are you facing any convergence issues? Try using Autoconvergence feature - See how here: https://resources.ema-eda.com/ema-blog/using-autoconvergence-in-pspice-to-get-past-convergence-errors

Next, if you know when your steady state is achieved, try saving the data after that using the option below, this will sppeed up your transient analysis too

Hope one of the options above work for you.

Thanks a lot Ronak, i did that things u adviced me, my program is still slowly but at least, i can be now sure that:

1. I'm running it in the maximun speed i can.

2. Due to the autoconverge solution, i'm doing a good simulation that shows the correct values considering an error i can assume and ignore.
