Pspice Encounters Invalid Argument and Crashes at Every Start

Hello everyone.  I am having some sudden trouble with Pspice Lite version.  Everytime I try to run any kind of simulation I get the following errors as depicted in the image below.

pspice_errors_riley.pngIt does not seem to make a difference whether I have one or many projects opened.  In the above I opened a project from a few semesters ago which was trivial in nature and the problem persisted.

The program also crashes on startup most of the time displaying the last error shown above.  When restarted it prompts me to reload the last projects that were not saved correctly.  If I do so the program crashes with the same error immediately.   If I do not I can open projects and sometimes run a simulation but most of the time what is above is what I run into.

I have gone into Regedit as administrator and deleted:

I have uninstalled Pspice and deleted all directories (including hidden ones) which reference cadence.  The problem persists and I am at a loss on how to fix it.

Hi Michael,

Please go to this path: %HOME%\cdssetup\OrCAD_PSpice\17.2.0  and delete the psice.ini file. Then restart Capture and re-run simulation.

Let me know if this works.

I have the exact same problem. I am on version 16.6.  I did delete the config file but did not work.  I did notice Orcad giving me issues ever since I upgrade to Windows 10.

Is this an issue you get just with this design, or with whatever?

It sounds like a re-install is in order. I would agree with RobertoGb trying to identify if this happens only with this project or all.
