Simulation Setting not working

Hi I'm trying to simulate a Full Bridge Recetifier circuit and when the simulation settings comes up I only see a white box. I've tried runnign as admin and uninstalling and reinstalling the software.

I talked to Alok from tech support and he has fixed the issue!!!

Open orCefSettings.ini file from < Installation Path>/tools/bin/ in any text editor like notepad. For example - C:\Cadence\SPB_17.2\tools\bin\orCefSettings.ini

Append below line in this file (orCefSettings.ini file)

               lang=en-US

Save this file and exit all OrCAD tools and relaunch. Try opening SimSetup dialog and see if this works.

After this change, orCefSetting.ini file should look as following.

I also have the same issue.

The aforesaid method didn't help.

Is there any other way to resolve the problem?

Hey. I have the same problem, tried to fix that by edit orCefSettings.ini file, now this is everything in it:

disable-gpu
lang=en-US

and it didnt solve my problem.

Do you have any other ideas how to fix it ?

It sounds like you're experiencing a technical issue with your simulation software, specifically when trying to simulate a Full Bridge Rectifier circuit. Seeing a white box in the simulation settings window could indicate a rendering or display problem within the software.

Here are a few steps you can try to troubleshoot the issue:

  1. Update Graphics Drivers: Ensure that your graphics drivers are up to date. Sometimes outdated or incompatible graphics drivers can cause display issues in software applications.

  2. Compatibility Mode: Try running the simulation software in compatibility mode. Right-click on the software's executable file, go to Properties, and then navigate to the Compatibility tab. Enable compatibility mode and select an older version of Windows to see if that resolves the issue.
