[SOLVED] Error Generating Part from Library

I am trying to simulate a power converter in PSpice for TI and my design uses the FDMT800150DC MOSFET from Onsemi. I downloaded the PSPICE files from the manufacturer and received a .txt file and a .OLB file. The txt file is formatted similar to a .lib file and clearly states that it is made for the PSPICE simulator, but the model uses "**$ENCRYPTED_LIB".

I tried changing the .txt file to a .lib file and using the Generate Part tool, but I receive an error (ORCAP-1116) that there are no models or subcircuits in the library.

I also tried adding the library in the Place Part panel using the files. When I try to add the .lib file, I get an error (ORCAP-1726) that the file is not a valid library. When I try to add the .olb file, I can see the two parts available, but when I place it in my schematic I get a DRC error (ORCAP-2445) that the instance is not found in the configured libraries.

The part symbols are fine and can be used in PSpiceForTI.  The problem is in the encrypted model file.  Open it and you'll see **$NOINTERFACE.  This means that when the file was encrypted the Show Interface box wasn't checked.  If it was then those blocks of encrypted data would be enclosed in .SUBCIRCUIT <name> [node]---.ENDS commands that would allow PSpice to indentify the part's model code.  Maybe a call to Onsemi might get some help to fix this problem if you really need to use that mosfet.

Since I couldn't open the library with ModelEd I thought the .lib wouldn't work in a simulation.  However, later on I decided to give it a try anyway.  It does work; just keep the .lib and .olb in a separate folder rather than trying to blend them into the two standard libraries provided.  I did a DC sweep and found that the results are way higher than the typical published spec.  Sorry for the previous misinformation.

I tried moving the OLB file into a different folder and generating the part with the LIB file and I still get the same error. Thank you for your reply.

You don't need to generate a part for simulation.  The part(s) you use are in the .olb file.  Use "Place Part" then search for the location of the .olb file and the parts will show up in the place window.

I get it now. I thought that the the errors in DRC would prevent me from running the simulations. I tried it now and the simulation runs fine. Thank you for your help.

This error I see it happens often in electronic libraries like trap the cat and has not been fixed for a long time.

Some manufacturers provide PSpice model libraries in encrypted formats that are meant to be used with specific subway surfers versions of PSpice or simulation tools. In such cases, you may need to use the PSpice model library that is officially provided by Onsemi or look for a non-encrypted version of the model.

While Snake 3D is a great game, it does have its limitations. Some players may find certain aspects of the game challenging, which could be a downside for beginners.

It appears that C ought to be the DigClock component. I'm fairly certain that components A and B belong in the DigStim. However, I'm unable to locate that element. I don't know what kind of file FileStim is searching for, but that's the only thing I see geometry dash lite that looks like that.
