Hi everyone, I'm new to this forum, I hope you can help me with this:
Does anyone know why parts that support mathematical expressions (ABM, EVALUE, EMULT, etc.) do not calculate correctly multiplication operations, square root, etc. with variables doing ac ssweep? Those same expressions are well mastered in the PROBE command line. (I'm using 9.1 student version)
Thank yo very mutch!!!

Hi Carlos,
The instantaneous models (using VALUE and TABLE extensions to PSpice “E” and “G” devices in the part templates) enforce a direct response to the input at each moment in time. For example, the output might be equal to the square root of the input at every point in time. Such a device has a flat frequency response.
Try using frequency domain device models for your need: EFREQ, GFREQ...others. During AC analysis, the frequency response will determine the complex gain at each frequency. For example, the EFREQ part will be described as a table of frequency response. First, the EXPR is linearized around the bias point (similar to EVALUE and GVALUE parts). The output for
each frequency is then the input*gain of EXPR*the value of the table at that frequency.
Hi Ronak,
Thank you very much, its a very clear explanation. I'll try it and say you...
All things considered, this is an ideal article. I read this yesterday and I simply cherished it. I read this today, afresh and I think this is the ideal article that has been distributed on this site here. 슈어맨
