Failure to converge using TI NextFET models

I'm designing a Buck Converter using a TI TPS40170 and two NextFET drivers (CSD16323Q3 and CSD18537Q3)

When I use any other transistors (I've used the BSC110N06NS3G and BSC076N06NS3G) the model takes about 10 minutes for a 2ms transient analysis and gives the expected results.

However, if I use the NextFET models the simulation either fails to converge, and gives garbage outputs if told to autoconverge. Is there any way around this?

Thanks!

Hi,

I would analyze separately the NextFET models you want to use in the Buck Converter and I would compare their behavior against the datasheet.

I suppose such components have been downloaded, that is why, firstly you have to test them in a separate schematic to analyze how they work and afterwards I would integrate them in the Buck Converter.

The positive issue that I see is that you know what it is not working properly. So, you can extract the problem and analyze it in an isolated way.
