Hi
Im using version 17.2
This is with ref to new part model import.I tried to add few part ASCII text files into model editor as .lib files.When i click the save icon,the import pop up window should automatically pop up.
However Im getting error as invalid configuration.
I tried to use the same files in 16.3 version and it works fine.
Can anyone please help to sort the issue.
I recently upgraded to 17.2 and facing such issues.

Thank you very much for the data. I have just copied what you have sent and I have pasted it in text file TEST.txt. Then I have changed the format to .lib, I have imported the file into Model Editor and I have generated the symbols to be used in OrCAD Capture. I have not got any error message. Could you tell me please what you are exactly doing, when you are getting the error message and where?

Do you have this problem only wiht such file? Have you tested with another .lib? Have you used previously Model Editor in the version 17.2 or it is the first time?
I have used many files which were earlier working neatly with 16.3
I uninstalled 16.3 and did an upgrade to 17.2 , 2 days back.
This is the first time Im using model editor 17.2
earlier version was fine.

Taking into account that it is working on my side properly I think the problem is not Model Editor but some other feature. Could you tell me please which Operating System that you are using? 32 or 64 bits? Can you use Capture and PSpice in your 17.2 installation?

I had very similar problem with latest (SPB 17.2), This issue is resolved in latest ISR (Hotfix). Please download latest hotfix from Cadence Downloads Portal, Install and then try to import .lib file.
If this doesn't resolve the problem then while importing or creating OrCAD library File you will get error log, share the same to help you in better way. Also mention which hotfix is configured?
