Getting error subcircuit OPA820 is undefined

I have been running simulations using the ideal op-amp from the default Pspice library and they run fine.  However when I add an op-amp (AD820 in this case) from the default Texas Instruments library folder (on the right side of the screen), I get a netlist ERROR(ORPSIM-15108): Subcircuit OPA820 used by X_U36 is undefined.  And it aborts.  I do not understand why it's "undefined" since I am just using a part from the standard library that came with Pspice for TI. I have not changed any of the default installation paths.

I checked the library configuration and it points to "C:\Cadence\PSpiceTI\tools\PSpice\Library";"C:\cds_spb_home\cdssetup\pspTILibDir".  These seem to match location where libraries are installed.  Any advice is appreciated, thanks for the help.

Hi Jim,

Just check at the location "C:\cds_spb_home\cdssetup\pspTILibDir" on the disk whether OPA820.lib is present or not. Also update your libraries if any popup comes during tool launch.

Also check its entry in "nom_pspti.lib" present at the same location. If yes then ideally pspice should be able to detect its model for simulation.

Also check for pspice.ini (located at C:\cds_spb_home\cdssetup\OrCAD_PSpiceTIPSpice_Install\17.4.0\pspice.ini) entry of below two lines in section "Pspice netlist"

LINE1=.lib "nom_pspti.lib"
LINE2=.lib "nom.lib"

If it still doesn't work then you can share the exact schematic snapshot or design so that it can be looked upon. Please share of Pspice for TI version as well.
