Hi everyone
I have been trying to pack an approx model of a COB Led I've got - no datasheet, but I can measure Voltage and current to try to model a new diode having a similar forward current relationship.
The COB Led operates between, let's say 3.2V and 3.8V with currents 6mA to around 200mA.
So I input the data and perform Extract and I expect to have a model of a diode that, in that voltage range, has a forwrd current matching the extrapolated curve
That does not happen. (see below): for a 3.42V I get currents of 469mA instead of expected 80mA.
So the question is: What am I doing wrong or what have I seriously misunderstood here?

If you are using your LED in the foward bias state only, zero out ISR and the curve will match what you extracted. I tried it and got the 80ma foward current at 3.42 volts as you expected.

Testing and verifying models created with the Model Editor
Each curve in the Model Editor is defined only by the parameters being adjusted. For example, for the diode, the forward current curve only shows the model of the current equation that is associated with the forward characteristic parameters (such as IS, N, and Rs).
However, the simulator uses the full equation for the diode model, which includes a term involving the reverse characteristic parameters (Such as ISR, NR). These parameters may have a significant effect at low current.
This means that the curve displayed in the Model Editor does not exactly match what is displayed in simulator after a simulation. Make sure to test and verify models using the simulator. If needed, fine-tune the models.
