Mixed Signal Modeling

Hello,

I have PSpice 17.2 installed. I run analog simulations all the time. Is there a way for me to run mixed signal simulations? For example, can I instantiate a block in the schematic capture with a verilog/vhdl code that communicates to my amplifiers and other analog blocks?

Sincerely,

Maksym Kloka

Hello Mr. Kloka,

Nowadays it is possible to instatiate components to be simulated in a mixed signal system using C/C++, SystemC and VerilogA descriptions. You can access to this environment for such description clicking on Start >> All Programs >> Cadence Release 17.2 - 2016 >> OrCAD Products >> Product Utilities >> PSpice Utilities Model Editor. When this windows opens, click on Model >> DMI Template Code Generator.

PSpice A/D allows analog-digital simulation, using digital/analog components that are already defined in the Cadence libraries, importing components downloaded from companies or creating them yourself.

An application Note explaining how to use Device Modeling Interface will be ready next week.

Let me know if I can do anything more for you.

Best regards
